Minecraft Xbox 360 TU’s are title updates (which includes feature adding updates as well as bug fix updates).
If you have a Live enabled gamertag (Silver or Gold) and your Xbox 360 is connected to the internet, any available TUs that your system does not already have should download automatically when you launch the game with the disc in the drive (I’m assuming that you bought the disc version and not the Xbox Live Arcade version). A Silver Live account is free and your system will default to that account if you sign up for Xbox Live but do not pay for a Gold account.
Each Minecraft Xbox 360 TU deletes the previous TU on your hard drive now, so it doesn’t burn up much in the way of hard drive storage. As PoeticWhisperer said, you actually should already have the most recent TU (TU11). If it wasn’t sold on the disk, it will be found listed under the Settings – Storage – Games & Apps – Minecraft portion of your dashboard menu. That file is entitled “Minecraft Title Update” and it is 30 MB.
I downloaded my game from XBLA, and it is in a file entitled “Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition and is taking up 114 MB. There is also a Minecraft Save Info file for every player that plays Minecraft on your Xbox 360. It ranges in size depending on how much they play and have stored. The largest one on my system is currently 148 KB. With several worlds saved and only the Birthday Skin Pack added on (104 KB), my entire Minecraft Xbox 360 folder takes up about 258 MB.
